Does anyone know if the American Edged Weapons Museum in Intercourse, PA is still in business. In the 80s and early 90s, I bought a number of knives from Larry Thompson, the owner. I'm trying to sort thru my basement and I've got a couple of knives that I need to ask Larry about. When I googled the museum, I didn't get much of anything. Thanks.

I can be of some help on this one!Yay....yes there still in buisness me and my father drove by it a few times on our way to Lancaster. looks like an interesting place has a canoon outside of the front. My father told me it was always a neat little place. If you go bring your camera id love to see what it looks like.

Tommyguns454, thanks for the phone number. I'm just going to call since I'm in Alabama now, but I have been to the museum. It's a old brick bank building with the bank vault still in place. Would make a great gun safe. I use to run into Larry at the Birmingham Gun Shows, but that was when Cole was alive.

Larry is still around. I see him at the Allentown, PA show all the time.

Larry was set up as a dealer at a show in Atlanta a couple years ago. Real personable guy but I was a bit put off by a re-blued Marine "k-bar" he was selling as "original". Granted, he's getting up there in years and maybe it slipped past him.

 

I'd love to see his museum. When my mother was still alive she lived in that part of PA and I should have taken the time to go to Intercouse when visiting her in Lebanon.

All I can say is I just erased my post..I hate that. The museum I never saw but I do know that it is in a farming community with amish natives. I think The Rail road Museum is very close to the area as is the knife museum. I would check before to play it safe. The last 3 items, I bought directly from CRTK were mailed to me within 2 days and the knife I ordered, .I had a ball learning the ropes with my one handed opening and closing knife. Any one reading this will find it simple.

my family and i were in the area enjoying the stores and i saw it and i went to the front door and the place was closed so i was dissappointed. But, yeah like you already know it is still open.
