My Wifes Uncle Passed last week, 94 Years old. He told me a few years ago, did not want to talk about it. Traveled to too many islands.with the 2nd Marine division. Joseph G. Klimko. Any info would appreciate.

I would recommend you get ahold of Matt (“2ndInf.Div.”), and get his NARA file. That will have more information than can be found elsewhere.

Served with Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division, 1944-45, attained rank of Private First Class

 

Muster Rolls are sparse, your best bet is to request his record through St Louis
