Dog tags with certificate named to same soldier. What unit is this?

I have this great set of dog tags with a certificate named to same soldier. It says 10th medical laboratory, but it's for a armorer's and artificers. If he's with the 3rd army and it's 1943. He's overseas already. Maybe something to do with chemical weapons? And special troops what does that cover , probably a wide range of things.

The 3rd Army was still Stateside in those dates, I.m not sure where it was stationed prior to going to England in December 1943.

Thanks Kev, I read the unit landed d- day plus 11, at one time the only medical facility on the European Continent. But if it's medical why did he get a certificate for a armorer? I don't see a connection

Can't tell on the connection yet with Armorer in a medical unit, but as an interesting coincidence, in the 18th into the like mid 19th century, Artificers were were mostly associated with artillery, some as cannon specialists, meaning they looked after the upkeep of the cannons, checking if they are usable and will not blow up next time they're used, in other words what today is called an Ordnance Maintenance Officer, some as munitions specialists, they might be in charge of the gunpowder stores, preparing the specialized munitions of the day, IE Common Shell and Grape Shot etc, they worked in a structure called a Laboratory, this could be a permanent structure, or a large tent, even if a tent it was still called a "Laboratory".
