I recently discovered this site and this forum after doing a Google search of my maternal grandfather, Waman S. Hassett. It was only then that I learned that his medals had been sold. We have no idea who in our family did this, but my siblings and I would like to track them down and hopefully purchase them back from the current collector. Posting here in the hope that that collector will see this. Also grateful for any suggestions to further our search.
