Replacing Stars on Ribbons

Hello, I bought this Wolf Brown PUC with a bunch of 1/2 Inch Bars. I am wondering about the holes, disregard the middle hole I accidentally made it. The 2 original holes are too close for there to be 2 Stars but too wide for one star to fit. If there is a special star that fits I would like to find one and restore it for my Americal Uniform.

Could be the vet used the large star from personal awards, or one of the large foreignade stars. Not unusual to see done back then

During WWII there were 3/16 inch bronze stars that had two prongs on the back. They were actually part of two of the star's points and bent back. Their spacing is quite wide.

Alright, do you know any Blue PUC stars were made with the wide prongs?

While blue was the by-the-book PUC star color throughout the way...it was often disregarded. I have a WB PUC on a Paramarine's group that has multiple stars, all of which were bronze. Don't get wrapped around the axle about the blue ones

Alright, I will start looking for a good star. If anybody has any for sale or trade, I would be interested.
