Nice WW II Marine Portrait

I picked up this image a few weeks ago at a local antique store for the grand sum of $2, and I was glad to get it, as I don't come across Marine images very often, and better still, this one was identified on the back - Claude Jr. Huffman. I have a question about his ribbons - is that a distinguished unit citation he is wearing on the right side of his uniform? And can anyone identify the other ribbons on his rack? Any help will be appreciated.

Most of the Pacific Marines had good conduct ribbons, Asiatic Pacific ribbons with battle stars, And Presidential Unit Citation ribbons. Dad was in the 6th Marine Division. I have two of his dress Green uniforms. One has his ribbons on it.

I think the third ribbon is for the Organized Marine Reserve medal. http://www.foxfall.com/gcrm-usmc-fmrm.htm

the first row is from L to R

Purple Heart X2, Navy Unit Commendation, and Organized Marine Corps Reserves

the first ribbon in the second row is American Campaign and I would say its safe to assume the other two in that row would be the Asia/Pac and WWII victory.

An Army PUC would make me think that he was with a unit of the 1st or 6th Marine divisons and perhaps was attached to an army unit on Guadalcanal or Okinawa?

I think your guy may have been a Marine Raider.

Huffman, Claude, Jr. Enlisted 26 November 1942, Marines, from Pittsburg, Kansas
