I recently saw the new Jumanji film that came out a few days ago and couldn't help but notice quite a bit of military surplus being used, and expensive and rare pieces too.

 

 

Now to start off, here is Nick Jonas playing Seaplane McDonough wearing M42 Paratrooper trousers as well as a Leather G1 Navy Bomber Jacket. I'm not sure if they are original or not, but it's safe to say that I hope those pants aren't original as they probably went through some damage during the filming of the movie.

 

 

 

In this scene you can see the guards of the depot they are raiding are wearing what looks to be some Vietnam era field gear in this shot. While I couldn't find a picture, a lot of the soldiers are actually using the folding stock M1 Carbines commonly used by Paratroopers during WW2. I think it is pretty safe to say they aren't original guns, but it seems that Jumanji got some props from Band of Brothers...

 

In this last picture, i'm pretty sure some of the cast seem to be wearing other military surplus items although im not entirely sure if they are military or just civilian.

 

Anyway, thought this was interesting,

I think Nick Jonas jacket would be a replica and I dont believe the pants are parachutist pants, most likely replicas or look alike replicas as they look to have a folded pleat not an internal pleat like m42 pants.

Okay makes since, i just found it interesting that they chose similar pants.
