man that is a rare find.......Yours was issued post war, based on the US Air Force stamp.... designed for flyers and most likely was available to all ground folks too...hook or crook

I believe the B9 cap was issued with the B9 and B11 parkas systems. I think issued to to ground crews but also by aircrews

If there is a B-9 and a B-9B...is there a B-9A?...thinking along the lines of the 50s era flight jackets..seems like there should be an A model...if even for a brief period?

Virtually the same as the OP but stamped AAF with a 1944 order number.

I have never seen a B9A. Stands to reason that there probably was one ?

The B9B was issued with the N3B and N2A jackets in the USAF
