October 16, 20178 yr #1 Here are some photos of my knuckle knife. A similar one is pictured in "Knives of the United States Military World War II" by Michael W. Silvey, page 217. Mine has "Good Luck" and a native girl engraved into the leather on the front. On the reverse of the leather is a manufacture stamp, I cannot read the writing, only the first letter, which is S. According to Silvey the one on page 217 is marked "STELZIG/SADDLERY CO./HOUSTON TEXAS". On the metal handle there are two hand made marks that I have not been able to identify. It almost looks like LT JE Or I am looking at it upside down and it is Japanese!!! I don't know. Any ideas on the handle marking? .

October 16, 20178 yr #7 I have seen the Stelzig stamp rubbed out on a couple of them over the years. No idea why.
October 17, 20178 yr #11 Any idea's about the handles origins? As far as I know, no one has ever determined who made these. They are commonly called "Stelzigs", but that is because of the sheaths. I have a few other knives with original Stelzig sheaths, but the knives don't look like these. The handle on mine above is some kind of composite metal.
