its a nice item. the only 1 thing I see wrong with this is the washer is missing between the fuse and body.

No washer. Did all grenades during WW2 have washers? I thought I read something about that.

I found the source. TM 9-1904 Ammunition Inspection Guide 2 March 1944, Chapter 2, Page 238:

 

FUZE, Igniting, Hand Grenade, MI0A1. The A1 modificiation of the FUZE, igniting, hand grenade, M10, consists of a redesign of the head of the fuze so that the fuze sealer washer is dispensed with and yet the striking mechanism is completely enclosed as before .

 

I think that the M10 fuze, a/k/a the cutback fuze, had exposed portion design flaws that needed the fuze sealer and washer. I don't have one to look at, only the drawing in the TM. The redesign of the fuze head starting with M10A1 and going forward, completely encased the striker assembly and eliminated the need for the washer. Can someone take some pictures of a M10 showing the exposed portions of the fuze head?

You can see that there is a separate (fiber?) washer between the granade body and the fuze sealer. So, what is the consensus--washers or not?

I would say washer. made a seal between the fuse and body, a moisture barrier as well

Well, i dont believe a washer is always there. I found many here in the netherlands and they dont always had a washer.

Going to be at the show after Thanksgiving?

Are Yall are taking about the fiber washer between the body and fuse bouchon I guess Im missing where that seals the fuse. As costs said its a seal/barrier between the body / fuse which all MKII grenades have with the exception of MKII practice.
