I'd like to learn more about flight helmets. Looking on ebay some of the reference books are quite expensive. Would like to hear some opinions on which would be the best to purchase? I'd really like to know more about the USAF jet age helmets but want to learn more about all others as well.

Reference books are quite expensive but in this day and age you want to invest in the books that will help you along in whatever area you want to collect. It will also help you in the long run save money on reproductions and fakes. Some of the Third Reich reference books I have on certain items actually cost more than the artifact in some cases..

 

I have seen this reference book before and have looked through it and although I do not collect flight helmets I would recommend this book. Schiffer publishing has some very good reference books.

Thanks guys! Looks like that one is cheapest at Barnes and Noble. I'll drive up to our local store today as sometimes the military books have decent sales.
