My mother-in-law was married to Lt. Francis V. Lael who was shot down over Ploesti Romania in WWII. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross posthumously. His unborn daughter sold her fathers medal at an Atlanta antique show several years ago. This crushed her mother, my mother-in-law. I'm trying to recover the medal for her. If anyone has any information I can be contacted at jaking3@aol.com
