I have an original St Mihiel medal that has an internal hanger bar with a knob at each end. Can anyone tell me if this more or less value.

Would be nice to see a photo. I just picked one up as well with what looks to be a typical US style pin and clasp. What you are describing sounds French. I don't know that it adds to the value. I believe all of these were made in the 1930's to commemorate the battle and made available to veterans. I know there are two types of reverse. Most I have seen sell in the $175-200 range. Kevin
