December 25, 201510 yr #1 This is probably the best Christmas gift I've ever got. This grouping is named to Frank Harlow Baxter of St. Mary's, Ohio who served in Co. M, 362nd Infantry, 91st Division. I'm hoping to fin more information about him later, because as of now I have only found his Draft Card. Enjoy, it's a very picture heavy post.
December 25, 201510 yr #11 Amazing grouping! I have a soft spot for 91st ID myself. Great photo to go with this outstanding group--noting the pine tree device on the cap too! Thank you for sharing this with us!
December 25, 201510 yr #12 One would normally assume those collar devices had been messed with, but right there is the proof that it's legit -- a fantastic studio portrait. It's a great grouping.
December 26, 201510 yr #14 I love the studio portrait that supports the fact that the collar devices are original to the jacket. Very nice well documented grouping.
December 26, 201510 yr Author #15 Below is his info. I can't find when he died. He died on August 5th, 1943 after a 5 year long battle with an unknown illness.
December 26, 201510 yr #16 What a great Christmas present. Thank you for posting and best of luck with your research!
