Nice knife "hink441"

One question, is the guard a full oval, or has it been modified?

Thanks SKIP.

Would like to see some of your 1918's as well.

The knife ended at 630 USD. The seller had an optimistic $850 reserve price. This is one of those things that would bring much more if it had hard provenance...

knucvks7-I only have an Aulion, and an LF&C, no original scabbards. SKIP

Though not to me, the knife did sell, not sure for how much, but rest assured, it was more than the auction closed at. Agreed, the seller did an amazing poor job at communicating the provenance of this knife (if said provenance ever existed). Imagine, if he had included a picture of his grandfather wearing it during WWII (again, assuming such a picture had existed), then this knife would have really taken off price-wise. Someone else took a chance on this knife and frankly, I hope they are able to wrangle some better proof/provenance of its past use. Otherwise, we have another case of the old adage "buy the knife, not the story."
