August 8, 200817 yr #1 Hey guys i havent posted much in awhile but i picked up this grouping last week. It is a WWII naval aviator grouping to a pilot who flew seaplanes around South America and in the South Pacific. This is a neat little group came with two nice named uniforms, a navy short case issue air medal, and a lot of great pictures. The pilot actually partipated in picking up survivors off the Africa Star, and lifting Friedrich Guggengerger from the wreckage of his sunken U boat.
August 8, 200817 yr Author #4 The collector who originally obtained this grouping had TJ write on the back of all the photos, his plane in this photo he had to crash land off of Saipan when an engine failed.
