May 29, 201511 yr #1 Estate sale today, was #9 and got in the door #4 or so because of no shows, went straight for the closet and this is what I brought home. A simple google search will reveal to you all who this all belongs to. Most have N & last 4 marked on them. I got everything military in the house except the officer wool overcoat. May have missed something small. Enjoy 2 patches removed, chest patch same outline as Carrier logo I found online when he went missing. Also note the large circle patch missing from the sleeve, probably Squadron patch since he was CO of VA_172

May 30, 201511 yr #15 Great Score. I'm jealous! Estate sales are always a waste of time in my neck of the woods. We have two pro estate liquidators who always cream any collectible (especially firearms and military) for themselves. You can get good deals on silverware, house plants, and juicers though (sarc. off).

June 1, 201511 yr Author #19 I read about his wingman's remains being sent home in the 80's, also saw a memorial plaque/freedom tree for him here locally at old Cecil Field were his squadron was home based. This sale was sign up via email and I emailed as soon as I saw it but the military items weren't listed yet, I just know the lady putting on the sale has good prices, I buy and sell more then just military. So I ended up being #9 on the list and got in the door in the top 5 since their were no shows. I was overjoyed to get all the military in the closet but left his officer peacoat trench type. Total was $338, a steal even without the name and history. Amazing how the people putting on these sales don't have a affection for the history behind, good thing I guess, then the prices would be crazy. Well its in good hands now and I will probably never split this up. Would be a shame to piece it out. Any thoughts on value as a whole?? I find it priceless but that may wear off with time, a lot of time...Bill
