July 1, 200818 yr #4 I am sure this is not new information, but I always smile when I hear "official" and "unofficial". It seems several servicemen took liberty with those terms. Some "unofficial" items were added after discharge, BUT some were worn prior to.
July 2, 200818 yr #6 Is there any possibility that the guy was an American member of the British armed forces and transerred to the US military? I know we have seen this with aircrew in the UK, so wouldn't it be possible to do this in other locations, services??? This bar may very well be legal. Nice bar! -Ski
