October 31, 201411 yr #1 Stopped at a Nashville estate sale this afternoon and picked up this unit photo. At $20 I couldn't leave it. I'm not sure the exact unit, however the caption at the bottom states: "CO 3 B.T.G S.W.S. R.T.C. CAPT J O'D GRAVES C.O. CAMP SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF APRIL 1952" San Luis Obispo still has a small National Guard installation (which I visited a few years ago). This is a Signal Corps unit, evidenced by the Signal insignia worn by the officers. I rather liked the Company First Sergeant - old Airborne Infantry combat veteran. Using a magnifying glass I was able to make out the Combat Infantryman's Badge (CIB) with star - indicating combat in WW2 and Korea - as well as what appears to be ribbons for Silver and Bronze Star medals. A couple of the unit's Soldiers also sport CIBs.

November 1, 201411 yr Author #4 I returned to the same estate sale this morning and grabbed these two photos. The USMC dress uniform photo is named to Staley Lollar. The fatigue uniform photo appears to be the same Marine. Written on the reverse of this photo. Cursive writing was from the Marine in the photo, with different hand-written print at the top of the photo listing the young Marine's name:
