Wanted to post this as it just came to me out of the Springfield, Missouri area where 2LT Toscha M. Massey grew up. 2LT Massey (Navigator) and the crew of 42-3216 "The Joker" of the 384BG, 545BS were shot down enroute to Schweinfurt on 14 October by Uffz Hans Ahrend of JG2/3. The plane crashed 30km South of Verdun. Three of the crew managed to get out of the aircraft and evade capture with the assistance of the French Underground. RIP 2LT Massey and crew.
