March 7, 201412 yr #1 Found this watch fob today. Eagle has Civil War appearance but not sure if this type leather strap goes back that far. Fob pendant is stamped and not cast. No markings at all on it. Any ideas? Thanks.

March 8, 201412 yr #6 I'd look at pieces from 1865-1890 and see if you can find a medal with this on it. I don't know anything about rifles, but can you at least date it from that?
