WASP Dot Swain Lewis passed away on September 9th at the age of 98.

 

"Having learned to fly, during WW II, she was trained as a flight instructor , trained trainees for the Navy and the Women Airforce Service Pilots ("WASP") programs, then served as a WASP, flying various such planes as the P-63, B-26, & P-40."

 

In later years she made sculptures. One of which was titled "WASP trainee" which is installed at the US Air Force Academy.

 

May she rest in peace!
