Part of a recent lot pick-up. I thought the EGA mounted to the badge was pretty cool. It is sterling by H&H. Opinions or info?

WWII, unauthorized but common done practice. You see a lot of Meyers pieces with these on the sharpshooter, even carded, so I think even the company started producing them against regs...which is probably what ultimately led to the official induction of the emblem on the sharpshooter badge in the 1956 regs
