January 19, 201313 yr #1 I came across this hat in an antiques store, i asked the man selling it and he said it was a New York militia from the 1880's or 1890's. The bullion on the front is ambiguous too, it has the flaming bomb and bugle, which separated are easy to understand for me, but together not so much. Any information will help so don't hesitate! Thanks in advance! The last picture was too big to upload, but the markings inside say: Leiter-Hilsdorf & Co. Hatters Furnishers And custom shirtmakers 425 N. Salina St. Syracuse NY
