January 1, 201313 yr #1 USMC recruiting patch on an original armband. I have not seen these many of these on the collectors market. I have no idea what the value of this thing is or what period they started and stop wearing these. I have found pictures which seem to be around the post WWI-Pre-WWII era. I would love to get information on this.

January 1, 201313 yr #5 My understanding is that these were late WWII and post WWII. They were sewn onto the uniform while the uniform regulations allowed and then they were worn on the felt armbands after the Marine Corps did away with patches on the uniforms in 1947. I even have one on a band that I think dates from the lates 50's early 60's with a merrowed edge. Anyway, I hope that helps. Yes they range any where from $100 to $200, depending on the economy. - Jeff

January 1, 201313 yr #7 The pre (WW2)war ones Im familiar with are the ones sewn to the shoulders of the uniform and were blue with white letters and no globe and anchor. I would have to aree with Jeff on this one being later.
