Great, thanks. How I will have to get the set out and try to figure out if it was converted (mine is a C too) or this handle was just thrown in there, but it is only marked M-444 not M-444H.

Here you can see additional items attached to the lid of the detector case for the H series.

 

Does anyone have an idea if the SCR 625F Mine Detector was still used in World War 2?

Or was it developt for post-war use?
