Hello!

 

I wanted to share a couple new blades that have found their way to the collection. One is a theater-made knife that appears, from my best guess, to be made from the blade of a British P07 of P13 bayonet. There is also a well-used Boker Mk1 Navy knife with a nice (but likely civilian) leather sheath with reinforced metal edge.

 

The final knife is a 1917 LF&C trench knife (my first with a scabbard!). It is ID'd to an Ohio ambulance driver in WWI who was unfortunately a postwar casualty due to exposure to gas. Scabbard is marked Jewell 1918.

Congratulations on the new additions to your collection. :thumbsup: I always enjoy blades that happen to find there way home to my house, don't tell my wife. I do love the 1917 and always nice to receive some information on the owner. Would love to add a Boker to my collection someday. All theater knifes have a special place with the use they may have had and the workmanship involved. So many blades to collect. What a great addiction some of us have.

Excellent additions to a U.S. military knife collection :thumbsup: a little bit of this and a little bit of that. My favorite is also the trench knife; not only are legitimate scabbards harder to find that the knives, but the fact that is named and you traced it back to the original WWI owner makes it very special.

The Boker certainly has seen it fair share of use. The knife appears to structurally sound, especially the handle, after all it's been through. :thumbsup:
