I had passed this by in a local surplus store thinking it was a WWII Rucksack, but I stopped and took a closer look and was amazed to see it dated 1963. Can anyone give me some info on this? And if these are hard to find and a value. I looked in my books and found a little, somewhere I read these were used by early SF in Vietnam is that true? It's in great shape and appears to have all the straps. Thanks for any help, Ken

 

 

 

Yours is in pretty good condition. It appears to be missing the rifle strap but otherwise intact. These were used by SF but I'm not sure that included VN.

I remember seeing these used in 'Nam in '68-'69. Once I was waiting to catch a chopper out to our battery and there was a pile of them laying next to the pad. I was actually thinking about stealing one for myself but didn't.
