August 13, 20232 yr #77 some pouches in my collection which I believe to be originals. The WW1 was a hard find. The pouch on the far left goes with the S prefix Ithaca 37 in the case. The other cases I have paired with other shotguns of the correct era's. The case is for an earlier 30's Ithaca. Still short a lot of brass 00 buck shells I'm on the hunt for to fill some of the pouches.
August 16, 20232 yr #78 The hunt is part of the fun of collecting. Something always seems to pop up when you least expect it. Very nice display. Thanks for posting.
April 4, 20251 yr #80 Posted over in Real or Fake section. Will update at a later date, but this could be an example of fake, or an example of another maker. I have never heard of that maker.
April 7, 20251 yr #81 Buzzbomb: I don't recall ever seeing that maker either. What do you read it to be, BAYE or SAYE or something else? My initial guess would be a fake. Charlie

I will have it in hand soon enough and hopefully be able to provide some more photos and questions. just seems weird as any fakes you find don’t have clips like these, and I can find examples of the same clips/manufacture on other items of known wartime produced articles. here is one such from an E17 sustenance kit from ww2.
April 14, 20251 yr #83 Have it in hand now. Based on the clip “posts” I am calling it a fake. These posts do not correlate with any I have in my collection or in yours. The have a tapered profile on the base. ahhh well. Worth a shot!
April 18, 20251 yr #84 Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the collecting community. Now we know and future collectors should not be fooled. Charlie

Doesn't look to be like WW2 or US made webbing. Weave is very odd
April 21, 20251 yr #86 Elsewhere on our Forum another member has determined that these Pouches are fake having originated in India using recycled RAU LTD fasteners. See this link:
April 23, 20251 yr #87 I haven't seen an M1921 pouch posted on this thread yet. Made at Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot in Indiana. I looked for many years to find one and finally snagged this one at the Tulsa show last November.
February 4Feb 4 #88 A friend of mine offered me this pouch. Any opinions on originality would be appreciated.
February 5Feb 5 #89 That Rubon pouch looks good to me. I see nothing that raises a red flag for me. It compares well to that shown in Post #21 above. Regards, Charlie
February 8Feb 8 #90 Mine looks just like that. (My photo's color are a bit washed out from the flash.) All three were obtained around mid 1990s-early 2000s for obscenely low prices looking back.
