My father surprised me the other day with a WWII coast guard jumper he found while out and about. It has no name on it anywhere and has the coast guard shield on the right cuff. On the left arm is the threads for a PO 1st class, looks like it was cut off recently, maybe by the family.

 

I wanted to put a crow on it and ribbons to make a display, since no name I was going to put a wwii era crow with the specialty of my choice.

 

Did the Navy have left arm ratings that the CG did not? I do not want to put the wrong insignia on. I was thinking of radio/radar/ or sonar as I do not have a jumper with that insignia. Is that OK?

 

My other question, is there a CG specific insignia? That would look cool.
