October 16, 201114 yr #1 Hello, Can anyone tell me what this is? It about the size of an overseas cap patch. It came with a group of misc WWII items. Any help would be great. Thanks!!
October 16, 201114 yr #3 "VI" = 6 in Roman numerals. US Army's VI Corps (always written in numerals) used a patch with a white "6" on a circular blue ground. There could perhaps be a link between the two?
October 17, 201114 yr Author #4 Thanks Sabre, this is what I had originally thought. And sorry for the mistyping in the title. I was hoping it would be A 6th Corps variant, but the size is really throwing me off. I would think it would be a period piece. And there is no question it was sewn on something at sometime. Hope we can figure it out! Thanks again!
October 18, 201114 yr #5 Could be one of the patches used on swimming trunks to get into the base swinning pools. There are pics of a few I had in one of the threads.
