Just picked up this patch at the max show.

Never saw this variation before. Appears to

be painted on felt . Maybe aussie made?

More likely it is silk-screened.

That is interesting. Most Aussie made are in a stamped type pattern seen on early Paramarine, Raider and 1st MarDiv patches. Interesting that woolen patches seem to have picked up an "Aussie" made name somewhere along the line.

Now mind you I am not "into" patches per se, but the first thing that I though of after seeing this was that it was a 2nd Mar Div emblem carefully cut out of a WW2 era made 2nd Mar Div souvenir pendant.

 

Not exactly an opinion on it, just a thought.
