April 24, 201115 yr #30 Christmas came early for you. Excellent grouping. My friend Mike was transferred from a Ranger outfit to the 87th Recon. Unfortunately I haven't heard from him for a while. But if you like, I can check his letters to see if he mentions Lt. Good. The 777th. Activated on 20 September 1943 at Fort Gordon, Georgia, from 1st Battalion, 3d Armored Regiment, 10th Armored Division. Arrived in England on 27 December 1944; disembarked at Le Havre, France, on 6 February 1945. Took part in Operation DAMNATION in April 1945 attached to 69th Infantry Division, in turn attached to 9th Armored Division. Crossed Weser River, and Co Company C entered Colditz on 15 April, liberating 500 French officers and Stalin's son. Other tanks entered Leipzig on the 18 April 1945. Moved to Thrana in early May 1945. Erwin

I come home after school or lacrosse practice and just crack open the trunk and go through everything again just for kicks. I just wish i had more space and a torso mannequin to display it on! His son hasnt emailed me back, his number is listed there but i dont want to be a nuisance, because i dont know how his relationship was with his father.. Haydn
