I just bought an excellent++ Kinfolks M4. It's an early one with the tapered pins (not staked). It came with BMCO M8A1 scabbard. When I looked at the "Bayonet Points" that shows the evolution of this scabbard I was wondering; is it safe to say that all five variations of the Beckwith M8 to M8A1 scabbards were all done in 1944? After checking the "little blue book" it says the M8A1 designation occured in 1945. It also says that the pommel pins were changed in February 1945, so it is conceiveable that the tapered pinned M4s could have M8A1 scabbards. Just wondered if the scabbard and Kinfolk M4 were original to each other. When it arrives in the mail, I'll check the throat number to see if that gives me any clue. Thanks
