WW 1 cpo Yeomanette jacket

Hi,

WW1 chief Yeomanette jacket. There's one button missing on the belt. I took a picture of the belt and it looks like there was one on there before.

My camera is not the best, I'm hoping next month to get a new one.

This is one of my favorite images of Yeomanettes wearing this type of jacket:

Thanks for the help Chris! That is a great photo and I took notice that some of the rates on thier jackets have the different shapes like the one on my jacket.

Congratulations on such a find! This will likely be the only one you will have had the opportunity to purchase, so I am happy for you that you seized the opportunity!

Great uniform and the photo that CWNorma posted is about as good as it gets for documenting the Yeomanette's attire. These are the only two photos in my collection of Yeomanettes. Unfortunately, they are press photos reproduced from a museum collection so the detail is not good at all.

The caption of the seated ladies is "Yeoman (F), U.S. Navy at Fore River Plant, Bethlehem Shipbuilding Co., Quincy, Massachusetts, 1918. Left to right: Mae McGovern, Fedora Bianchi, Helen Corridan, Margared Ward, Mae Kennedy"

SUPERB Jason!

If you need some funds for a new camera, you can sell me some of your uniforms and I'll be happy to help...
