Official WWII Hand Engraving? I think it might be.

An interesting thing to note about Archibald is that his AM was sent to his wife in Jan 1945, and the Purple Heart was awarded to him based on a statement he provided after he was liberated. It was engraved and sent to him in Sept 1945. The DFC was awarded on a GO dated June 1945 after he was liberated. There is no engraving order in his file for it , so we can assume it was not engraved by the PQMD.
