Wednesday at 12:35 AM2 days #1 The person in this photo is Lt. Robert Sumner of the 6th army Alamo Scouts. This photo was taken before or after his time in the Scouts. Before the war ended he was sent to G2 to help plan the Alamo Scouts for the invasion of Japan. So I don't know what the patch on his right sleeve is. Can someone identify it? It's an odd shape, but I can't find it online anywhere. Thank you for your help.

Wednesday at 01:41 AM2 days Author #3 It's not an Alamo Scout patch of any kind. An Alamo Scouts patch is round. A round patch would not distort like that. You would see some of the words going around it.

5 hours ago5 hr #5 I think what kind 9f appwars like an irregularly shaped patch outline might be creases in the shirt. But, my old eyes can't I tell for sure. However, the way the patch design is divided, and the fact that they are vertical panels made me think of the Army Replacement Command. Sometimes I feel like I can see a faint circular patch outline and sometimes I don't.
