December 10, 2025Dec 10 #2 I think it's legitimate, just an economy version made of cheap metal. There was a line of USMC EGA insignia called "EconoLead" - I don't know if this would be from the same manufacturer, but same idea.

December 10, 2025Dec 10 Solution #7 Its original WW2 made with a safety pin style pin. You can find these on shooting badges as well. Also some of the encno lead badges uses a similar pin as was more than likely what was cheaper to produces. The badge looks to be economy type material, and I have similar carded US made badges. Some of the german made US badges will also use a style of this pin. At any rate its a good original badge
