February 8, 20251 yr #7 One helpful hint on metal WW1 wings. If the “U.S” letters aren’t nicely formed and symmetrical, you’re probably looking at a fake. Fakers seem to have problems getting this correct. However, properly formed and symmetrical letters do not guarantee originality. You then have to look at other characteristics. Could be a really good fake.
