82nd Recondo - age?

What is the vintage of this recondo? It turned up in Belgium. Has been used and washed.

This is something I never do, in that I never disagree with Tredhed, but on this one I will. This patch is currently made in Vietnam, to look like the 60's vintage 82nd recondo pocket patch. It is mishappen and the " fake aged" browning to the cheesecloth is the biggest set-off. These fake Vietnam made items are a lot more prevelant in Europe then in the US which is hard to believe.

I kinda of thought that but had forgotten where it came from but my sonhas reminded me. The seller had some Airborne stuff that was WW2 era (supposedly) but looked a lot like this one. My kid wanted it so I bid low but with trepidation. It looked ok to me but I never felt great about it. Now it gets the scissors.

I will never venture into VN era stuff if they can do this well with fakes.

They all date to the 70's. They are original.
