Here are some items from the Western Cartridge Company. My wife's grandmother worked in that plant during WW II. They made small arms ammunition (.45 ACP and shotgun amongst other calibers). -

The US made period M1944 nets always have stiff bands, I have 4 of them and 3 loose WWII neoprene bands, they are all stiff and hard to stretch. The post war M1944 style nets seem to always have very elastic bands, the nets themselves are usually much softer as well and usually a pea color green, while US M1944 nets are very dull almost grayish green. Nice net! -

The short lived 1930s Rate of Song and Dance Man was inspired by Fred Astaire, Song and Dance Man Sailors were associated with the Navy Fleet bands, the insignia was a Top Hat upright with Cane at the diagonal superimposed
