Best to study period photos and decide which impression best suits your liking. Pretty basic 4 pocket enlisted uniform for war time. The wool shirt and tie with wool trousers. Add a blue wool armband with white letters. military police collar dis paired with US collar disc for branch. Some wore the white leggings with the ankle service boots. Can wear a white painted liner with or without MP markings. Some wore white pistol belts often painted white with a brush. I have owned a couple. Add a brass whistle on a chain if wanted. You will also see various caps worn or used. Some of the visor caps had a white chin strap again painted or made for MP wear. In theatre or the field examples of helmets with white MP can be seen and for the most part the same uniforms were worn as any GI with M41 or M43 gield jackets and wool shirts and trousers. The MP armband worn to identify the as well. Here is an old topic with several photos of different eras. Search the forum and there may be others. https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/198307-mp-sp-brassards-in-wear-military-police-shore-patrol-air-police-etc/#comment-1543765 -

I realize this is an older post but I just recently came across some older communication equipment. One of the items acquired appears to be an NOS AN/PRR-9. Date on paperwork says Mar 16 1988. Serial number 18252. Also appears to be a complete kit with accessories and manual. Has Gov't price of $109.00 listed on the Release and Receipt of Materiel form DD Form 1348-1A. -

My opinion is that the first 2nd ACR patches that came out were the BeVo style. I have seen them on WWII era uniforms and have encountered the BeVo style patches in WWII era patch groups; whether they came into being before VE Day is up to conjecture. I believe that the US made and fully embroidered 2nd ACR patch is a post war patch, but it is an early one. It may be from the first run of US-made unit patches. My two cents, Allan
