. Fabulous sunny day today in Normandy, first time in ages I have struggled to remove a sweat soaked tee shirt. !!!! I think the last time we had such a sunny warm day was 1976, it's taken all that time to get warm again . . . . . . . . . Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 24 May 2O26. .. -

. Helping a life-long Jeeping friend. One of my local friends is rebuilding a Ford block to put back into his Ford GPW, however he is missing a few parts , so I had a look in my boxes of 1970's salvaged parts, I was hoping to find him some Ford marked parts but these are just Willys parts . . . . . . I might just be able to find him a couple of end cap bearing bolts that he wants, and I think I might have a couple of Ford ones., a job Monday looking through all my storage boxes for them. Interesting seeing things again, fond memories. Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 24 May 2O26. .. -

I have the exact same wing, which I believe is good. It has all the signs of a good Meyer, especially regarding the pin and catch fixings. -

I keep looking at it, hunting for red flags and comparing to others. You are correct, the Meyer shield on the back of the caduceus is indeed raised whilst the one on the wing itself is incised. Its certainly got some weight to it, so gold on brass is most likely. I think I came up on top with this one, super happy. It will probably be my only flight surgeon wing unless I hunt down a shirt sized version to match then go for the second pattern...... Wings are addictive.😅 -
