. Helping a life-long Jeeping friend.   One of my local friends is rebuilding a Ford block to put back into his Ford GPW, however he is missing a few parts , so I had a look in my boxes of 1970's salvaged parts, I was hoping to find him some Ford marked parts but these are just Willys parts . . . . . . I might just be able to find him a couple of end cap bearing bolts that he wants, and I think I might have a couple of Ford ones., a job Monday looking through all my storage boxes for them.  Interesting seeing things again, fond memories.         Norman D. I have the exact same wing, which I believe is good. It has all the signs of a good Meyer, especially regarding the pin and catch fixings.

I keep looking at it, hunting for red flags and comparing to others. You are correct, the Meyer shield on the back of the caduceus is indeed raised whilst the one on the wing itself is incised. Its certainly got some weight to it, so gold on brass is most likely. I think I came up on top with this one, super happy.   It will probably be my only flight surgeon wing unless I hunt down a shirt sized version to match then go for the second pattern......   Wings are addictive.😅

. in a village flea market today    Four part worn ' Jeep ' tyres / tires, out of interest I took a look to see what make they were, when I saw ' Made in Cuba ' then I wheely wasn't interested any further.  Intrigued me how Cuban made tyres ended up in France and the words were in English not Spanish or French !!!!     Norman D. .   hi mikie and flibble. A carburetor walks into a bar, hops up on a stool, says “Gimme a beer and a shot of whiskey!”, and proceeds to put a shaft, a lever, a plate, and a bimetallic spring on the bar.  The bartender says, “What's this? Some kind of choke?”   A guy walks into a bar with a lump of tarmac under his arm, and says to the barman, gimme a beer and one for the road . . . . . .   Anyway those are the good ones, I think I will just float around here for a while . . . . until you stop fueling around   Norman D. The Association of Federal Investigators (AFI) is a professional organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., that supports and represents individuals involved in federal law enforcement, auditing, and investigative work. Membership is open to current and former federal, state, local, and private investigators. I don’t have the organization’s starting date, but know it has been in existence since at least the mid 1960’s.
