I keep looking at it, hunting for red flags and comparing to others. You are correct, the Meyer shield on the back of the caduceus is indeed raised whilst the one on the wing itself is incised. Its certainly got some weight to it, so gold on brass is most likely. I think I came up on top with this one, super happy. It will probably be my only flight surgeon wing unless I hunt down a shirt sized version to match then go for the second pattern...... Wings are addictive.😅 -

. in a village flea market today Four part worn ' Jeep ' tyres / tires, out of interest I took a look to see what make they were, when I saw ' Made in Cuba ' then I wheely wasn't interested any further. Intrigued me how Cuban made tyres ended up in France and the words were in English not Spanish or French !!!! Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 24 May 2O26. .. -

. hi mikie and flibble. A carburetor walks into a bar, hops up on a stool, says “Gimme a beer and a shot of whiskey!”, and proceeds to put a shaft, a lever, a plate, and a bimetallic spring on the bar. The bartender says, “What's this? Some kind of choke?” A guy walks into a bar with a lump of tarmac under his arm, and says to the barman, gimme a beer and one for the road . . . . . . Anyway those are the good ones, I think I will just float around here for a while . . . . until you stop fueling around Norman D. Landing, Forum Normandy Correspondent, 24 May 2O26. .. -

The Association of Federal Investigators (AFI) is a professional organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., that supports and represents individuals involved in federal law enforcement, auditing, and investigative work. Membership is open to current and former federal, state, local, and private investigators. I don’t have the organization’s starting date, but know it has been in existence since at least the mid 1960’s. -

Thank you Dave, I am amazed that there were 137 views before you. And I’m not sure if anyone took the time to realize the significance of this helmet and of the man that served these fine soldiers. Marty -

yeah this statement makes no sense to me, it’s an easy statement to make without actually looking at all the variables. While I appreciate the comment I just don’t see it -

I believe these belts were made for the RVN and used and if not it was a special piece made in theatre for a SF operative. I am with you on your statement, why fake a belt that does not replicate any known kind of BAR belt whatsoever.
