All USMF Members:

We just wanted to take a moment to welcome all our members to this site and to the USMF community!!!!! We look forward to reading the posts of each and every one of you! :)

When we say "USMF community," we mean community in every sense of the word. We are a community of collectors/historians/researchers that use this forum as a vehicle to connect with other like-minded individuals.

All members (regardless of your age, level of collecting, or experience with a particular item/period) are encouraged to participate within this community.

If you are a young member, new to US militaria, or new to online forums, do not be afraid to participate or to indicate you are inexperienced! We all had to start somewhere! "I'm better than you" attitudes are not welcomed here. Here each member of the community is expected to act in an appropriate professional/adult manner with all other members. Racism, pornography, bashing, or any other type of otherwise inappropriate behaviors are frowned upon in this community. Remember: we want to learn about past wars, not start new ones.

Also, we recognize that many of the members have come here from other online militaria boards. We do not have any problems with members mentioning other online forums. However, in this community, we strongly discourage members from openly insulting other forums. All forums have their good points and bad points.

Apart from providing a friendly venue for collectors/historians/researchers, we also aim to be an online reference source for militaria. As some of you have undoubtedly noticed, we have some REFERENCE sections under a few of our forums. In the future, the number of these reference sections will definitely grow. Our end goal is to be one of the largest militaria collecting references available online. We all realize that this is impossible without the help of members of the community. So, feel free to look around the REFERENCE sections and notify us of corrections that need to be made to existing information or add information we have left out.

One final note...If you have any problems with the forum software or another member OR if you see a problem (or potential problem), please feel to contact either myself (ADMIN) or Forum Support via our Private Message system (a.k.a. PM) or e-mail. thumbsup.gif We realize we can't prevent all issues but we will sure do our best to remedy the situation when problems occur.

Again, have fun and WELCOME TO THE USMF COMMUNITY!

If you go to the bottom of the forum there is a selection for OVERALL TOP 20 POSTERS. If you select that it then gives you an option for seeing all of the members. As for the states and countries there is no available selection. It is up to the individual member whether they choose to reveal that info.

If you are interested in a particular state or country you might try creating a post asking for all members from that area to sign in. You probably won't get them all to respond but usually the ones interested in a personal meeting or private discussion will sign in.

I have updated the link to the listing of forum moderators that Bob posted above. I would suggest that if you need to contact an Administrator that it might not hurt to either send a copy of the PM to another Administrator, or that you include another Administrator as recipient as many of us are not online all the time. This would help ensure the message is received in a timely manner.
