M60 Driver Posted September 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 11, 2007 Bought a larger lot of clothing off Ebay, mostly just shirts for recycle in the surplus store but a few items of interest. First is a near mint condition herringbone (OD-7) shirt dated (stamped inside) 1949. Only major flaw is the missing lowest button. I also got a few later model fatigue shirts, not in herringbone but the 100% cotton, but that share the features of the extra seams down the front sides that run under the pocket. Perhaps someone can date that particular feature on fatigue shirts. More items to follow.
M60 Driver Posted September 11, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted September 11, 2007 Next is a USAF herringbone mechanic coverall with the star buttons. I believe these were issued in the 1950s. And since we have the space, below that is a wool shirt, also perhaps 1950s dating, alas with no marks or tags.
M60 Driver Posted September 11, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted September 11, 2007 And last is a bit of an oddity. A 6 pocket BDU style pant in the OG 107 100% cotton material normally seen in the typical 1960s fatigue pant.
