hardstripe Posted November 6, 2013 #76 Posted November 6, 2013 Here is another one I picked up at the recent OVMS show in Ohio. It appears to be an OD wool Sergeant chevron sewn to a strip of blue denim. I think this one could be local made and was used for the acting sergeant of a work detail when the denim fatigue uniform was used. That could mean this was pre-WWII. I believe the denim fatigue uniform was eliminated just prior to WWII.
Chris Posted November 15, 2013 #77 Posted November 15, 2013 Not sure what these are. They came together and accompanied a WWII 308th Field Artillery jacket.
Skip Posted February 24, 2014 #78 Posted February 24, 2014 Picked this up recently but not sure on the age. It is wool on wool with elastic webbing pinned to secure. Thanks for any input Back of 101st AB MP Brassard.
1stDivVet Posted March 16, 2014 #79 Posted March 16, 2014 A few of mine. 8th MP Bde. Korean made. Direct embroidered patch and writing. 1950's era KyNG brassard worn by Sgt. Steve York, nephew of MoH winner Sgt. Alvin York. Steve was a tank gunner in the Ky NG in the late 50's. Vietnam era in-country made 18th MP Bde. brassard. Vietnam era Medic armband WW2 USN Shore Patrol
DutchInfid3l Posted June 4, 2014 #82 Posted June 4, 2014 The color of the armband appears more grayish blue, like AF shade 84...The white area of the patch feels almost like satin.
jayhawkhenry Posted October 5, 2014 #83 Posted October 5, 2014 Here are my armbands. The odd one is the OG (officer of the guard?) armband. I do not recall ever seeing anything like that when I was in the Army.
Salvage Sailor Posted November 25, 2014 #84 Posted November 25, 2014 USN Medical Corps - TRANSPORT SURGEON Typical USN green felt brassard with felt stitched letters and the usual fancy Navy safety pin
hardstripe Posted November 25, 2014 #85 Posted November 25, 2014 Here is a recent pickup from our favorite Auction spot. It is an acting Sergeant from the 4th Training Brigade at Fort Knox. I completed basic training at Fort Knox in September 1973. The emblem of the 4th Training Bde was painted on the wall of our mess hall. We used acting sergeant and corporal brassards but without the Patch.
hink441 Posted December 29, 2014 #86 Posted December 29, 2014 Here is one that is named. Kurt has a similar named to a different soldier. Here is a USMC brassard. Permanent LCPL. LOL
cavcon Posted February 12, 2015 #88 Posted February 12, 2015 Navy MA (Master at Arms), post OIF. Looks like a Navy MA attached to a 3rd Army MP unit. Any thoughts?
DutchInfid3l Posted November 9, 2016 #89 Posted November 9, 2016 USAF recruiting armband. Never seen one of these before; still researching. Estimating early to mid '50s. Has "Rau fastener co." Stamped on the buttons. Appears to be thin felt on a thicker cotton/canvas type material.
firefighter Posted November 9, 2016 #90 Posted November 9, 2016 That PERMANENT LANCE CPL is awesome.Reminds me of the movie, NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS 'PLO' Permanent Latrine Orderly. LoL!!!! The armband in #103 looks Vietnam era with the felt back 101st patch.I was always told it was PI made but I think someone on the forum said it was actually U.S. made. The MEDIC armband in #108 looks like the same exact one I wore in the the late 80's, same stamp mark on the back.
Salvage Sailor Posted December 7, 2016 #91 Posted December 7, 2016 Haven't seen this one on the forum yet..... FTG - Fleet Training Group USN - Armband with hanger and Amphibious Squadron Six

29navy Posted September 5, 2018 #95 Posted September 5, 2018 Does anyone have any idea what this PM brassard may be? Possible WWII-era, possible Navy.
patches Posted October 31, 2018 #97 Posted October 31, 2018 Came across this photo of an 82nd Abn Div MP wearing a field made MP armband, photo appears to be either in North Africa, Sicily or Italy.
firefighter Posted October 31, 2018 #98 Posted October 31, 2018 Vietnam Era Shore Patrol gear from USS GRASP (ARS-24) Po City? When ever I see 'S.P.' I think of that movie, THE LAST DETAIL
Austin_Militaria Posted November 26, 2018 #99 Posted November 26, 2018 The 62nd Military Police Highway Patrol was disbanded in 1958. This is the second pattern brassard. The first design did not have the MP lettering. Probably one of the most desirable and hardest to find MP brassards.
Austin_Militaria Posted November 26, 2018 #100 Posted November 26, 2018 Does anyone have any idea what this PM brassard may be? Possible WWII-era, possible Navy. Provost Marshall. Probably Canadian or British and not US.
