Cobra 6 Actual

Thank you, Lewis, for that information and photos. As a former Infantryman I know that in my era of active duty (mid- to late-1960’s) combat infantry veterans often wore the complete package. For myself that meant a CIB, blue collar and cap discs, a blue infantry shoulder cord, and green wool Combat Leader loops with unit DI’s.

Regards,

C6A

Nice ones, Sgt Rock. This is an armband for a photographer at the Military Intelligence School:

Yeah, patches, whoever wore that armband would have to have biceps as huge as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in order to see all the letters on the word “Photographer.”

The U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center just received an inquiry to identify the two armbands in the attached image. I'm not positive they're American. But would appreciate any thoughts the members may have.

Thanks much,

Kaleb

I’m sorry, you’ve got me stumped. Anyone else help out here?

Perhaps Japanese.

I too was originally thinking it may be Japanese, or even Chinese. I realize that if that's the case, these don't meet the mission of the forum.

I appreciate the help.

Two armbands for this thread. One I had identified as cadet corporal armband, and one for the 2nd Armored Division held by brass pins, found them together.869153376_SCAN0222(2).JPG.450023983bded28098c89277a871908c.JPG1489391669_SCAN0223(2).JPG.4a667c73e0acd8a8f5a0be76a6a07232.JPG

I agree with Cobra 6 that it appears to be post WW2 based on its construction. Here's an example I have of a WW2 Medic armband.50984379362_71c058b422_k.jpg.ebfec32f8e111373d2da0f0e243130ca.jpg50984379347_11715b1358_k.jpg.11bb98952b8329b01a66f90ebdfbd055.jpg

Here's the flag armband printed on oilcloth material with original safety pins - never used.
