Here is another one I picked up at the recent OVMS show in Ohio. It appears to be an OD wool Sergeant chevron sewn to a strip of blue denim. I think this one could be local made and was used for the acting sergeant of a work detail when the denim fatigue uniform was used. That could mean this was pre-WWII. I believe the denim fatigue uniform was eliminated just prior to WWII.

The color of the armband appears more grayish blue, like AF shade 84...The white area of the patch feels almost like satin.

Here are my armbands. The odd one is the OG (officer of the guard?) armband. I do not recall ever seeing anything like that when I was in the Army.

Here is a recent pickup from our favorite Auction spot. It is an acting Sergeant from the 4th Training Brigade at Fort Knox. I completed basic training at Fort Knox in September 1973. The emblem of the 4th Training Bde was painted on the wall of our mess hall. We used acting sergeant and corporal brassards but without the Patch.

USAF recruiting armband. Never seen one of these before; still researching. Estimating early to mid '50s.

Has "Rau fastener co." Stamped on the buttons. Appears to be thin felt on a thicker cotton/canvas type material.

That PERMANENT LANCE CPL is awesome.Reminds me of the movie, NO TIME FOR SERGEANTS 'PLO' Permanent Latrine Orderly. LoL!!!!

The armband in #103 looks Vietnam era with the felt back 101st patch.I was always told it was PI made but I think someone on the forum said it was actually U.S. made.

The MEDIC armband in #108 looks like the same exact one I wore in the the late 80's, same stamp mark on the back.

The 62nd Military Police Highway Patrol was disbanded in 1958. This is the second pattern brassard. The first design did not have the MP lettering. Probably one of the most desirable and hardest to find MP brassards.

Does anyone have any idea what this PM brassard may be? Possible WWII-era, possible Navy.

Provost Marshall. Probably Canadian or British and not US.
